Further up the path was a grassy clearing dotted with apple trees and wandering around were a couple of friendly deer that were more than happy to hang out with us. We fed one apples and leaves and he told me secrets.
This deer had some juicy gossip about what really goes on around Jones Island! I’d tell you, but I was sworn to secrecy.
This deer loved the apples we picked for him.
Deer look weird when they eat apples.
Have you ever seen a sweeter, more contented deer face?
Somehow I didn’t get my face bitten off. Hooray!
Nik makes friends wherever he goes.
Okay. We get it. Enough already!
The next day we headed out on a hike around the island and spotted some excellent flora and fauna.
Nik’s always on the lookout for a new burrow.
Green green green!
…and lots of mossiness.
My hair was doing the flower flip thing again.
